That negative voice in your head, you know the one that tells you your not good enough, that you're 'just a mum', that the house is a pigsty or you're fat is one of the most self-destructive facets of our lives. Negative emotional health is a vicious cycle. We would not talk to anyone else the way we manage to talk to ourselves. It's time to take ownership of thoughts and feelings and begin to make changes to feel a full and happy life.
Some mums have an innate ability to 'bounce back' or to be more 'resiliant' than others. This means they are able to take the knocks of life with a lot more ease because they have built up their self-belief and self-esteem to a level where they value who they are intrinsically rather than relying on environmental factors (children, partners, work, home) to dictate how they should feel about themselves.
