About Mums on Top:

Mums on Top is a website for New Zealand mothers that was launched in 2006. We launched our social network in August, 2008 which has seen the modern mum embrace technology to make friends, ask questions, receive answers, blog, form or join groups, mum blogs, videos, personalised pages and more.

Our members are engaged contributers! You can learn more about us HERE.

We have worked with the media on a number of occassions, including SOURCING mums for particular stories. We have now set up a Mums with Opinions group, where women who are comfortable with the media are willing to talk to YOU! Last week Sunrise interviewed a couple of enterprising mothers who run their baby wear business from home and it raised some issues about becoming what they call in the US a mum-preneur.

A mum-preneur is an at home mother who also runs a business on the web. Marilyn McLachlan runs a website for those multi tasking miracle workers and she explain how social networking is the key.
